Spotlight on … Oxshott

Oxshott and Esher woodlands

We’ve recently welcomed Kathryn Johnson to the Cobham office, where she’s joined as Branch Administrator. So, we thought we should introduce her to you – and what better way to do that than to invite her to provide her take on the village in which she lives. With that in mind, find out why Kathryn enjoys living in Oxshott.

For a drink, I love going to …

Either The Victoria or The Bear. Nothing beats enjoying a glass of rosé in the The Victoria’s beautiful pub garden in summer. Equally, I can also be found there enjoying a glass of mulled wine around the fire in winter, too.

My favourite restaurant is …

My go-to place for a coffee and a pastry is definitely Munch & Wiggles. It’s the social hub of Oxshott and always a friendly and welcoming pitstop. It’s also a favourite amongst furry friends, too. However, The Leatherhead Club, which is just down the road, has also caught my eye recently. It’s perfect for meeting friends for a spot of brunch. It’s also a great place to socialise after a gym class at The HIIT House, a great fitness studio that overlooks the golf course. For dinner, it’s back to Oxshott for Bella Luna – a family-run restaurant and local favourite.

When it comes to getting out and about, I like to…

Enjoy family walks or a run around Oxshott Heath. Oxshott’s proximity to Cobham, Leatherhead and Epson town centre also means that I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping, which I also like to do.

Oxshott’s hidden gem is …

Clay Hair Salon in the centre of Oxshott. Despite being set in a country village it still has that London feel to it. The Surrey Hills Delicatessen is also great for locally sourced and freshly prepared food, too.

The best thing about Oxshott is …

Its sense of community. It’s also great for feeling as though you’re in the countryside without feeling totally remote. And, of course, the fact that you can enjoy all that at the same time as being close to London provides a perfect balance.

Lewis Sutehall

I’ve been with Davies Property Partners since March 2018, albeit it feels like I’ve always been here. I started my career in agency in 2007, all of which has been based in Elmbridge. My passion for property started at a young age, and I would often work in construction between school terms. I consider myself very fortunate to be working in an area with some wonderful homes. These homes are often made wonderful by the people and families living in them. Property is such an exciting industry, but is one which often comes with its stresses. Whether you’re dealing with someone’s first purchase, upsizing, downsizing or simply changing areas. Every transaction is of the greatest importance and needs the right care, skill, knowhow and above all experience. It’s a wonderful feeling to help achieve the best result for our clients or advise those buying. I feel flattered every time someone comes to me for my advice or opinion. I am always here to help!
